16MnDR is a special steel plate for low-temperature pressure vessels specified in China's national standard GB 3531-2014. It is mainly used in the manufacture of equipment such as liquefied petroleum gas storage tanks and natural gas pipelines in -40℃ environments. In its name, "16Mn" indicates that the carbon content is about 0.16% and the manganese content ranges from 1.20% to 1.60%, while "DR" respectively refers to low-temperature (D) and pressure vessel (R) applications. The typical mechanical properties of this steel plate include a yield strength of >=315-345MPa, a tensile strength of 490-620MPa, and a low-temperature impact energy of >=34J at -40℃, with the performance indicators decreasing as the thickness increases.

: The tensile strength of 16MnDR steel plates reaches 450-600MPa, the yield strength is 320-480MPa, the elongation is not less than 20%, and the impact toughness is also good. These performance characteristics enable the steel plates to maintain stable structural strength even when exposed to harsh environments such as high pressure, high temperature, and corrosion.

16MnDR steel plates need to take moisture-proof, rust-proof and other measures during transportation to ensure product quality.
